Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Sous / Pastry Chef to join our management team. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high food quality, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities:

·         Assist with food and pastry preparation, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish.

·         Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, development, and implementation.

·         Oversee and manage kitchen staff with patience, kindness, and clear communication.

·         Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation meet safety standards.

·         Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering skill development and teamwork.

·         Provide exceptional customer service and set a positive example in guest relations.

·         Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, promptly reporting malfunctions.

Qualifications:

·         Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a pastry or leadership role.

·         Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

·         Excellent communication and leadership skills.

·         Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.

·         Passion for supporting an inclusive workplace culture.

·         Culinary degree or certification (preferred but not required).
